The side bags fold up into nice zipper pockets when not in use and when in use are not overly large so no problems bumping heels; easy on and off w/ two Velcro straps; waterproof cover is attached via a strap so won’t get lost and is quick to pull out of underside pocked and pop over the pack (it looks too small to fit when side bags are open but it does, when you ride in a pouring rain and everything stays nice and dry); no problems w/side bags shifting or getting into spokes; center pack section is expandable. Wonderful more than you thought:
