The Chilling Flyer That Accused Jfk Of Treason

In the times previous to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, 1000’s of copies of this flyer appeared round downtown Dallas, accusing the president, of amongst different issues, being communist sympathizer and anti-Christian.

The flyers have been the creation of retired Major General Edwin Walker, a far-right ultra-conservative who had fought in World War II and the Korean War. Walker resigned his publish in 1961 after he was discovered responsible of violating the Hatch Act.

In an odd coincidence, Walker had been the goal of an assassination try by Lee Harvey Oswald in April of 1963. Oswald, who shot into Walker’s residence from lower than 100 ft away, narrowly missed him — the wood body of the window deflected the bullet.
