We are fan of abandoned places @Creative Spotting as we also practice this discipline by exploring different kinds of abandoned places in Europe. You certainly saw some pictures of abandoned Chernobyl city and its empty amusement manege (frightening…). Now we bring you in China were Photograph Stefano Cerio has made some nice pictures of an empty amusement parks for his series “Chinese Fun“.
Stefano use a plate camera for this series and he manages to capture a feeling of abandon in these usually crowded places and these scenes seem almost surreal and otherworldly.
His work increasingly focuses on the theme of representation, exploring the boundary line between vision, recounting the real and the spectator’s horizon of expectation, the staging of a possible reality that might not be true but is at least plausible.
