Land Lamps by Leonardo Fortino

Italian designer Leonardo Fortino present his latest lamp collection called Land lamps. With a game oftrompe l’oeil“, lampshades become earth, ground, or sea planet interacting with objects and characters deposited. The lamps are all made from fiber glass.

Leonardo Fortino was born in 1986 in Italy, where he studied at the chemical institute, the knowledge of materials and the interest in art, induce him to study Design. He graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in industrial design from “La Sapienza” – Rome. From 2009 to 2012 he collaborated with Andrea Bartolucci to create “Spigoli Vivi studio” dealing of self-production. In 2013 he founded “Leonardo Fortino studio” in Rome.

Figures from the collective immagination are recalled in tridimensional silohuettes to bring one back to environments and scenarios: the outline of a house, an astronaut out in space or an agile dancer telling stories  light cherishes.  Figures and light together spread a dynamic and readable idea. Figures to remind a tought, an action. The concept of these light sources is developed in numerous variations: single or group lamps. Lamps to tell a story.
