Born 1983, Glasgow, Scotland. I always wanted to be an artist and to be able to use my ideas and creativity in different ways. Since graduating Clydebank College here in Glasgow i have been working full time on my Art and have created some interesting painting series whilst experimenting with several different and unique techniques and media.
My Meteorology Series are a collection of Mixed Media paintings that are inspired by infrared satellite images of extreme weather conditions across the planet, Whilst my Abstract series focuses on trying to show the beauty found in the every day world especially when nature and the environment have an influence.
Ive always been so inspired by Nature, The environment and the beauty of the planet and have found that through
painting i can express what i see and feel more clearly than with words. To me often the simplest and most overlooked things are extraordinary, Like the surface of the ocean seen from below or the weathered rustic face of an old wooden door, The textures and the unusual colors found in nature can be very inspiring especially when the elements manipulate them. My goals and hopes for the future of my art is to try and make an impact with Abstract art on how we see the environment and nature and try to show Abstract that is a little different from the normal.
The Paintings attached have all been created using Mixed Media such as Acrylics, Epoxy Resin, Wax and 100% Alcohol and with some have been manipulated using extreme heat with a hot air gun. All pieces are painted on Box Canvas size 36″ x 24″ and are titled in order.
