Minimalist Pendant Lamp Made Out Of Repurposed Pallet Wood By Propellor

Now a days, one of the most upcycled materials out there is probably pallet wood with thousand of ideas available for your inspiration on the Internet (You should have a look at the website 1001Pallets which is actually one of the largest website covering the subject of recycled pallets).
We really love this minimalist pendant lamp called ‘Kilter‘ made out of upcycled pallet wood by an independent multidisciplinary studio called propellor, based in Vancouver (Canada).

Kilter emerges from the process of taking something old and making it new, transforming something forgotten into something of use. With Kilter, a little elbow grease, beautiful joinery and considered proportions reshape oak hardwood from disused shipping pallets into a light that is minimal in form but bursting with character.

Propellor is a collaboration between Toby Barratt, Pamala Goddard and Nik Rust who take their social and environmental responsibilities seriously.

We work to reduce our impact at every level of our practice. This has made a big difference in the materials we choose, in our production processes and supply chain, even in the ways we get around town. Evolving as people, as designers and as a company involves continually questioning our choices, learning new lessons and working to take every new step in the right direction.
