A new “very scientific” study on cat psychology is actually performed collectively on Internet and all the cats can participate! Some Reddit and Imgur users noticed the strange attraction of their cats to circles and this was confirmed by other cat owners who tried these low-tech traps on their feline friends.
Maybe one possible reason some of these cats are attracted to circles is their need for safety (?). Cats love small and secure spaces, so even the suggestion or illusion of one may prove more appealing than wherever they are at the moment.
