A Public Art Installation Created from Thousands of Recycled Plastic Bottles

Design collective Penda recently completed a public art installation made out of more than 17.000 recycled plastic bottles, which were braided to create a shape inspired by the swings of the Coca-Cola logo. The project, called “Cola-Bow” was created using bottles collected by a joint initiative of universities around Beijing and Coca-Cola China. The installation is a visually striking statement against pollution and serves as a reminder to recycle plastic waste.
